HTML 5 Roundup

HTML 5 is still in its infancy and sup­port is lim­ited to a hand­ful of fea­tures on a few mod­ern browsers. Recently, Google has said it plans to invest heav­ily in the new markup spec­i­fi­ca­tion with the hopes of it becom­ing the new stan­dard. There is a lot to get excited about but we still have a long way to go before we’ll see wide-​​spread adop­tion. So while you’re wait­ing, here is a roundup of the best HTML 5 resources avail­able right now. Feel free to add any that I may have missed.

    Good list of ref­er­ences. What are your thoughts on XHTML 2.0 and which will be more pop­u­lar and use­ful?

    I think XHTML 2 might be dead in the water. There are no major browser com­pa­nies imple­ment­ing fea­tures and all the momen­tum seems to going toward HTML 5. Also, now that Google has hedged its bet on HTML 5 with Wave (and given that the HTML 5 Spec Edi­tor is a Google employee)—things look bad for XHTML 2.
