Oryoki (pronounced oh-roe-key) was the functional portion of Jeff’s Master Thesis project on the design of Open Courseware management systems. The goal of the project was to develop a system for publishing educational material in small chunks called modules and then give instructors and students the ability to build their own learning “paths.” with those modules. Oryoki would manage the students, course material and reporting functionality and give developers the freedom to wrap the system in custom templates.

Oryoki remains a proof-of-concept and a work in progress but may one day be resurrected, finished and released in to the wild.
