Speed­ingTicket is an inter­nal tick­et­ing and issue tracker used by the CAS Infotech Office to sup­port fac­ulty and staff tech­nol­ogy prob­lems. In 2007, Jeff rewrote the soft­ware using Ruby on Rails and web stan­dards and imple­mented an API that could be used by other sites and appli­ca­tions to sub­mit tick­ets. In addi­tion to the stan­dard func­tion­al­ity already present in the sys­tem, Jeff add track­ing and sta­tis­ti­cal data to help man­agers see where time was being spent and how long tick­ets were wait­ing in the queue.
